Construction firms that bring heavy equipment into residential neighborhoods are using video to document the condition of the property before they start working. The video can show existing damage to curbs, sidewalks, streets, driveways, trees, poles, etc.
After the bulldozers leave a neigborhood, they sometimes leave cracked sidewalks and tread marks. Angry homeowners call their public works agency and these complaints get forwarded to the construction company. Frequently the homeowners claim the construction caused cracks that had actually been there for years. With this video, the construction company can easily document the condition of the property prior to the work being done.
Video Surveys are cheap insurance.
A relatively new concept is using video to confirm completed work on a construction site. This video holds tremendous advantages for the lender, and it keeps the contractor and the draw inspector honest. The lender will supply a list of the items that needs to be completed for the draw. We will supply a video and signed certificate of the inspection pertaining to the items on the list.
